WITH PAPER CUTTERS, CARD STOCK, SCISSORS, GLUE, AND A HEALTHY DOSE OF CREATIVITY, DONATED CARDS ARE TRANSITIONED FROM ‘OLD’ TO ‘NEW’, AND ARE READY TO ONCE AGAIN PUT A SMILE IN SOMEONE’S MAILBOX
----- A PEEK AT THE PROCESS -----
Front
The cover of this 'sprinkles-themed' birthday card cover will remain intact. Only the inside pages will receive a make-over
Inside - As Donated
Personal writings (protected by XXXXXs for this example) will be eliminated as a part of the remake process
Inside - Finished Product
Original verse has remained intact, personal message is gone, and a few new sprinkles were added to the facing page
HOW WAS IT REMADE?
The card had a full new insert installed (glued in place), thus removing the personal writings, both left and right sides
A cutout was made in the right side of the glued-in insert creating a window around the original verse so it could still be seen
A new border was installed around the verse ‘window’ to dress it up, and a bit of artwork was added to the lower left corner
